Ok, this time my brother, Ethan, wanted to bring his friend John with him and we thought that it wouldn't be too bad ;-)  Anyway, we got there at about 9:30 and we could already see that the ground was going to be a lot harder than previous months.  So we parted with our £20 and went on in to play!

Ok, a quick run round the site and we found ourselves in the middle and we found this:

An SJ with road tyres stuck in Road To Hell.

One of the Marshals very kindly attached a rope and began pulling him out

and got him out!

We then saw this tidy looking Land Rover on the escape route of Wipeout Hill.

Nicely done.  Not the last time we saw him that day!

We then saw this mighty beast on Road To Hell.  I think it was called an IBEX?

and out the escape route.  He made it look easy!

mmmmm, I want one!

Then, during another rescue this Marshal got himself stuck!

And it took this guy to get him out!

Always a few nice Vitara's around

Still out numbered by SJ's though!

It was about now we decided to have another drive around.  We went through some of the black runs and soon came to a sign that said 'Deep Water'  We went up to the sign and the water there wasn't even up to the centre of the wheels so we decided to go in.  We went up and over a small hill and down into the deep water!  It was deep enough to get us practically stuck!  Luckily we managed to reverse back out and find another way out.  The person who was filming us has emailed back and unfortunately he had it on pause when he was filming us.  All he got was his feet walking away.  Oh well.

This is what she looked like when we managed to get out of the water.  I have measured that point and it turns out the water was 3' deep with a deeper part where our bonnet disappeared under water!

On the way out it was missing slightly.

and to be honest I think I know why!

The temperature gauge was starting to creep up so we headed out to the hose pipe...

Inside wasn't much better.  You can just see the video camera on the seat.  It fell on the floor when we went through the mud and as a consequence doesn't work any more :(

My mate James also has an SJ and he turned out for the day.  There is a page for him in the Other Zukes page.

On our way back around we were held up in a queue of 4x4's and this was the reason!

The same Land Rover who we saw earlier on the escape route of Wipe Out Hill.  I told you we would see him again!

This friendly 4x4 helped get him out by using his winch to pull him back onto his wheels.

This friendly 4x4 belongs to James and Paula, and Paula has seen the light and is thinking of buying an SJ.

She fired up...

And off she went!

Well, that really was a great day out and we managed to drive home as well!  Roll On Next Month!!!
