There was a good turn out that day, though not as many as I would have thought seeing as it was the first Woodlands since Christmas, but that just means less queues into the runs.   Well, we got there bright and early and all ready for a great day.  We started off by trundling around some of the tamer White runs, but soon ventured into the trickier Red runs.  It was during one of these runs that we noticed the car was juddering and wobbling when we pulled away from anything.  We assumed that we had bent a driveshaft or something but decided to carry on because we were still getting around quite well.  Well, it got worse and worse so we decided to head for home and inspect the damage.  We got her home and had a quick look underneath but couldn't see anything because of all the mud.  A quick wash down and we found the culprit: the transfer box's rubber mountings had sheared in half and the t-case had twisted and pulled itself away from the front prop shaft.  We thought that it would be a major job to fix it so we drove it (all be it a little slower than usual) down to my grandparents house so that we could use the pit in their garage.  We got there and easily moved the t-case back into place, and made new mounts out of wood.  Even wood is stronger than genuine Suzuki mounts!  So anyway, these are the pictures we managed to take whilst there:

This guy was here last time.  He has a Fiesta body mounted

This guy was almost unstoppable, there was only one run that

he couldn't do: the big hill (not sure what it's really called)

As is this guy...

My dad on a Black run.  Is it me or is he at quite an angle?

If you look very carefully you can see that the rear wheel has

just about lifted off the floor.

These are all of the photos I managed to take during the day, bearing in mind we left by 11:30.

We weren't the only ones leaving early that day, Peter (the one who got me hooked on SJ's) currently owns a lifted Vitara and had to leave at the same time as us.  After a few attempts at a Balck Run his clutch went and he had to be pulled out and towed home.  Oh well, anything can be fixed.  Role on next month!
