If it wasn't for Simon (Tonka-Toy) and Dave (Superzuki)  then I would not be able to put this woodlands event on here because I didn't manage to take any photos of my own so thanks very much to them.

Cheers Guys - I owe you one.

For a few weeks before this event there has been hardly any rain but the last few days... it has been a downpour. The motto for most 4x4 freaks is: "the wetter the better!!!"  during the day 4 trucks managed to roll!

This is Dave's Vitara, also known as Superzuki

This is the purple Vitara from a couple of months ago, he has now got a

new winch bumper.

Another very nice looking SJ

This truck has taken a tumble on Road To Hell.  This truck has not yet

settled, the red petrol can is still falling from the back of the truck.

A passing Range Rover volunteers to help the tipped truck.

Range Rover starts to pull the truck back onto it's wheels using a

winch and strop.

Once it was back on it's wheels and restarted it ran very smokily.

It filled the whole observers point with thick smoke and didn't sound

too healthy.  there was a horrible crunch - it had seized.  It was taken away and wasn't

seen again that day.

Tonka had been fitted with a new steel axle and rear LSD's, but got stuck

in this hole with a busted half shaft. Oh dear.

Supersuki making his own way out of Wipe Out Hill.

This was the last spill of the day.  We told the driver that she might as

well have a go at the black run, our exact words were: "go on, what's

the worst that could happen?" and as she found out, it's this.

This is a very nice Jimny or Jamny as it is known.  He is on the approach

to Road To Hell ... a bit more rain and a few more trucks and this will

be a fantastic run.

A very nicely constructed SJ: body lift, SPOA, big wheels and a fantastic paint job,

what more could you want???

The purple Vitara again.  The owner is called John Sackley.  This pic was

taken shortly before he busted his front axle...again...

A standard SJ.  They always get their wheels in the air when they

tackle this run.

Going as fast as you can isn't always the best way of handling things as this

Range Rover shows us. (lol)

As he cleared the previous run (pic above current) he tried the Road to

Hell at the same speed, that'll teach him.

He was O.K.  he was able to climb out and observe the damage

that had been caused.

Luckily for him the spectators are always willing to lend a hand if needed.

So they managed to get the truck back onto its wheels and.....

He floored it again and obviously ran very smokily.  As he entered the

second half of the Road To Hell he bust his front drivetrain and

had to be towed out.

This SJ also tried to take the run at some speed and also rolled it.

The marshal in the background is summoning for help.

Yet another truck roles on the Road To Hell.  This happens to be

one of my dad's friends - we won't let him forget this in a hurry!

Supersuki again.  See how far the articulation stretches when the

truck hits the bumps.

This trip to Woodlands has been very entertaining.  We have seen all kinds of trucks do all kinds of stupid things.  And I was amazed that I didn't break anything or hit anything either.  (Hurah for me!!) seeing as last time I was there I hit a tree, not hard or anything but it dented the passenger door and luckily for me the engine didn't seize on the way home (as I did last time)

You've done it again Woodlands.

Cheers!!!!!!!!!!

I would also like to thank Simon (Tonka) and Dave (Superzuki) once more for allowing me to use their collection of photos.  Please show your appreciation and visit their sites:
