Woodlands again, and it had been raining the week before so we knew it was going to be nice and muddy! My Dad had been at work the night before so he was too tired to go, so he just dropped me, my brother and my friend Matt off and went home - leaving us to play in the mud! This was the first mud trip for the new engine so we were all looking forward to seeing how well it matched up with the old one... We drove around some of the easier courses and soon came to the centre area where all the fun happens! I apologise for some of these pictures, They have been taken off of the video camera and some of the footage we took was in widescreen...

And this is what we saw. This Range Rover had gotten himself well and truly stuck on the newly modified Wipeout Hill

Not going anywhere too soon!

So naturally he sent his wife in to put the rope on!

Finally got it out of the ditch...

But that rope is tied around the bull bars?

Been there done that.

Completely mashed the bullbars and decided to put the shackle on the actual recovery point!

And finally out!

This old Merc was also playing. As far as I', aware he had a bigger engine but I'm not sure what it was...

Ahh, I have always loved the complete custom SJ's! I believe that this guy is part of the Essex, Rochford & District 4x4 Club

There was even this completely standard Range Rover giving it all he could!

My friend James was there again, only this time he nearly rolled it on a red run. Shame we didn't get it on film! lol.

As always plenty of SJ's

and fair few Rangie's aswell!

This Lada was having a good run around the course until he tried Road To Hell

Road to Hell now has a vertical drop into a ditch. He couldn't get it out backwards and he couldn't go forwards...

So this kind Land Rover had to rescue him

They attached a short rope to the back and tried to get him out backwards. Unfortunately we got a call saying we had to leave then so we didn't see him get out... If anyone reading this got it on film I would love some pictures/video of the rescue!
When we got the call saying my parents would be there in a while to get us we decided to have a few more goes around the course before heading up to the jet wash.

This is the start of the run. I think it was the Graveyard but I can't remember.

Getting some nice flex from the rear wheels...

And the front!

Nicely cross-axled on opposite humps. We had to have a few goes here to get past it

Lifting a rear wheel up in the air!

And out! These last few clips are from a video in the Video Clips page!
After this we went out to the jet wash and cleaned the car up then headed home. What a great day and the car performed flawlessly! Matt Scott had such a good time he now wants an SJ of his own to take to woodlands!
